Three concepts make up a core of an activity feed.
  • Topic represents an area of user interest. It can be anything. Examples include a person, department, document category, document type, project, place, etc...
  • Update is an entity representing a trail of a change in a system state such as a document or page publication or user generated content creation.
  • Subscriber is a representation of a party interested in updates on given set of topics.
